Is it possible to have hair added a bit at a time, so no one can notice that you are having something done. I do want to walk into work one day without hair and the next day with a full head of it-- I would be ridiculed?
A very good question. No one ever wants friends or co-worker, even family, to know they have had or are having hair replacement. In the UK it seems to be a bad word. I personally can't figure out why, as hair is a wonderful and life-changing thing to have (no matter where it comes from). But, we live in a world where certain types of self-improvement are not openly admitted-- it looks like you have a weakness. This especially seems true for those who are overweight and those with hair loss. The good news is that our society is rapidly changing- we live in a society where Breast surgery and face lifts are so common they are being accepted as being normal parts of self-improvement. So, hair replacement is going the same way... but, some still want it secret... and that is no problem. Over the last few years, WHITE CLIFFS has spent large amounts of resources perfecting its PHASES programme: whereby we replace or add hair is such a special manner that no one can tell you have had hair replacement. Everything is done in carefully planned stages, so the results are minimal, but gradually over a planned time increase. Usually, co-workers think you have lost weight or had transplants-- that you look better or younger. The idea is that you can still self-improve and enjoy life, but without fear of anyone knowing.

Why does the hair replacement industry have such a bad name?
A very good, but tough question. My best answer is that it simply became an "industry"- which was made up mainly of small, local players that were able to leverage so much from desperate customers. Let me make it clear that Not Every hair replacement firm was or is like this, but sadly there are too many. Even one is too many, and has the potential to cause tremendous damage to many lives. One reason I helped create WHITE CLIFFS with Warren was because we both were abused by "the industry"- lost large sums of money for awful hair systems that fell a part or were simply awful. And we never did get our money back- we were instead laughed at. This made it personal me. After long thought, and betting our life savings and homes, we created WHITE CLIFFS... a sanctuary where you would NEVER have to worry about bad practices. That is why we back EVERYTHING we do with the WHITE CLIFFS Promise... and call ourselves the Better Way. Unlike the majority of small and even large providers, we invest large amounts of our sales into funding new product research and development- so products always are getting better, not standing still for decades. We are out to constantly better our product offerings- every way possible. I believe that this is why we have more clients in our London locations than any other single hair salon, anywhere in the UK.
I hope this helps,
Andrew
What is the best thing about WHITE CLIFFS?
The fact that we offer the world's best Warranty... it cannot be beaten in our opinion. WHITE CLIFFS stands behind everything that we do... But we have many things we are proud of- mostly we love our clients and want to make their lives better in every way.
Andrew and Warren
Can I use hair gel and products on a White cliffs hair system?
Absolutely. WHITE CLIFFS hair systems, as well as all of our products, are made from the highest quality human hair and allow you to use any normal product you wish for shampooing, styling, shaping, etc. so long as they do not contain bleach, abrasives, harsh chemicals or heat which also would damage your real hair.
Andrew
What makes White Cliffs so Trustworthy?
We stand behind our products and services... with a 3 month warranty for hair systems. We believe we are the ONLY brand in the world offering this for hair systems. We call is the "White Cliffs Better Way Promise".
And our track record which is the best anywhere, worldwide. With 1000 clients in our London Mayfair office alone, this says something.
We actually care about our customers!
Andrew
Are your extensions products warranted?
Absolutely. Depending on the type of extensions the minimum warranty (full coverage) is 3 months and the maximum is 1 year, which is the longest warranty in the industry.

What is the big difference in your hair extensions.
We believe that WHITE CLIFFS Hair Extensions are the most advanced in the world, and thus they do not use glues or heat, which means:
1). They are not messy.
2). The do require heat or chemical removers to take out which can severely damage your existing hair- THEY ARE KINDER TO YOUR HAIR.
3). The level of expertise of our staff ensures they are applied and serviced on a world-caliber level.
4). They are warrantied and guaranteed top hair quality.
5). Our Micro Ring technology ensures they are extremely undetectable.
THE RESULT... ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!!

I saw a doctor on television speak about White Cliffs. What is his name?
The doctor you are speaking about is Dr. Chris Steele on ITV's This Morning Show. His unsolicited and non-compensated quote for White Cliffs was:
"This technique is simply the best solution for hair loss sufferers I have ever seen. Patients can now get all of their hair back and continue their lifestyle; play active sports, swim and shower, just as before. Amazing! This is simply the best hair replacement solution for men and women suffering the devastating effects of hair loss, that I have ever come across in all my years as a G.P. I have never seen a hair system as natural looking and as realistic as White Cliffs".
Dr. Chris Steele (This Morning Show's Doctor)
Why are your hair extensions better than the glue based ones?
Well, to quote our own information: Many or most hair extensions have problems: don’t mix well, others break or frizz, some are not properly put in, others fall out quickly, few are warrantied, etc. The most significant and visible problem with hair extensions that has come to light has been what the press have dubbed “The Curse of Hair Extensions”- hair damage caused by the use of glues, heat, and chemicals (used to remove them).
Instead of using glues and heat to bond, thus requiring chemical removers, we use an advanced “Micro Ring System™” which removes without any type of chemical or heat being applied (and is also is more undetectable)- altogether being kinder to your hair. Another benefit is that White Cliffs’ extensions are “ultra-customized” to the individual- instead of choosing from a generic colour chart, they can actually take a small sample of your hair and match its colour, density, and style.

How White Cliffs changed my life! Rob from Manchester.
Before I found Whitecliffs, my hair loss had taken place over many years and had affected my confidence greatly. My first experience with hair replacement left my confidence even worse and my faith in the industry shattered. Quite simply, I was left looking worse than before I had started.
Following my first experience, and determined not to put myself through the same thing again, I spent many months researching the whole industry and by chance found White Cliffs. The praise that this one company seemed to continually be getting as the leader in hair replacement appeared to set it way ahead of the competition. Although I was still feeling very low from what had previously happened I had to make the decision whether to give up completely or have one last try with another company.
From my initial consultation I never felt that anything was over-promised but the end results have far exceeded my expectations. What I now have is a natural looking head of hair, correctly matched to my own hair texture and the correct density for my age. It is as close to perfect as I think it will ever be.
Of course, I have to be honest and say there are maintenance issues. No hair replacement system even with the technology available today is ever going to be as durable as your own naturally growing hair but with practice and care it will look amazing and above all, totally natural. If you can accept the maintenance aspects of non-surgical hair replacement then the chances are that the route I took will also work for you.
The photo of my system was taken in natural light a few days after I had reattached it myself and with no maintenance to the front. It is slicked back using a light styling gel to keep it in place while the photo was being taken.
Rob, Manchester
Further to: "Is Your White Cliffs Mayfair product really the best in the world?"
Adding more information to the question "Is Your White Cliffs Mayfair product really the best in the world?"... this may add further light:
-A recent UK appearance on ITV's Morning show also drew 5 million viewers from across the UK.
- The UK's Daily Mirror voted White Cliffs as one of the 15 best technologies/inventions to come into the UK.
Finally, a picture is worth a thousand words...

Where did White Cliffs start and where?
White Cliffs was started by 2 hair loss sufferers Warren and Andrew who simply wanted to create a sanctuary where hair loss sufferers were the driving force in everything we do... please go to http://www.whitecliffsgroup.com/About_White_Cliffs.htm.
Do you feel you are wearing a hair system on your head? Like a hat?
That depends. I can only speak about WHITE CLIFFS systems. In their case NOT AT ALL! If you are entirely new to hair replacement, during your first weeks of "having hair again" you may notice that something is on your head- only natural as you may have been without hair for years and not used to wind blowing your hair around, etc. After a week or two, it all disappears, and your hair becomes part of you... and you look forward to feeling that great sensation of the wind blowing your hair around.
Steve
Where is White Cliff's brand headquartered?
The style capital of the world Mayfair, London... UK. We are a proud UK brand and company.
Will a system damage my real existing hair?
A WHITE CLIFFS system definitely will never damage any remaining hair- they are designed to work with your existing hair (if you have any) and allow hair underneath to breathe, get cleaned, and grow. The adhesives we use are all medically approved, are breathable, and hypo-allergenic- and will not interfere in any way with your remaining hair's growth.
I have alopecia totalis and wonder what happens if my hair grows back.
We monitor your hair condition each time you come to see us for a re-groom every 3 weeks or month. This allows us to check for hair growth, and to see the general condition of your scalp. If we see significant re-growth we will make you aware of it. Your system allows for some hair growth underneath, hence, you can slowly grow back your natural hair under your WHITE CLIFFS system (eventually "grow out" of the system) so no one notices the change. Warren
What is the number one thing to look for regarding hair replacement?
TRUST! Honest and integrity are part of this also. Any hair replacement provider must always place trust at the top of their offerings to their customers and the world around them. We are in the business of improving people's lives, as hair is much more than just something on your head. Sadly, the industry, like any other, has its share of money-first operators that can cause more pain than one can imagine to the vulnerable. People who have hair loss can often feel depressed and vulnerable, and are often looking for hope. So, look for a long-term provider that puts trust and its customers' well-being first: Each of us being hair loss sufferers, I believe at WHITE CLIFFS we put Trust and Customers first- Always.
Warren and Andrew
How are Hair Systems different to wigs and hairpieces?
Wigs are simply a bunch of hair woven together and placed on your head. They are hot, don't breathe, make your head sweat, do not blend in with your remaining hair, and the fronts cannot be exposed for fear of looking like fake hair.
"Hair Systems" are virtually undetectable to both sight and touch and are manufactured with the highest quality human hair available. WHITE CLIFFS hair systems are undetectable, breathable, and become part of your hair- they blend in. You can swin, run, shower, and literally live in them for up to a month before they are removed for grooming (like a typical hair salon visit). Our systems also are famed for the "Mayfair Front" where it appears as though the hair is growing right out of your scalp. Also, with a system (unlike a wig) you can create any hairstyle you wish including those that allow you to comb your hair back and away from your face exposing your entire hairline. This system stays on your head and is not taken on and off like a wig, nor is it unsightly and unrealistic looking like hairpieces of old. No one will be able to tell looking at you that it is not your own hair! Above all, you can live your life with confidence, just as before.
Do you feel you are wearing a system (like a hat on your head)?
I have been wearing a system for over 1 year, and don't feel it at all. Technology has allowed systems to come a long way since they were the "butt" of jokes- when they were mis-fitting, looked like a "rug" on your head, and simply were a wig taken from a mass production line. Mine very much acts like my own skin, it breathes, when I run my sweat flows through it into my hair (like my real hair), I shower, sleep, and swim in it, and simply live a pretty normal life in it. All this without a soul not knowing- as you can see my hairline, and it matches my real hair perfectly.
What are the systems made from?
Speaking for WHITE CLIFFS, the base material is literally like a membrane (a skin for your skin) which is breathable, allows your skin to sweat naturally, and matches your skin colour perfectly- it is made from a super-fine, natural lace. The hair used is always finest quality 100% human hair for a totally natural look and blending, as well as for durability. The adhesives are all tested and medically approved as safe for all skin types.
How are they customized?
We at WHITE CLIFFS make a mould of your head shape so it is a perfect fit. This is then sent off to our own production facility where the lace base is created and human hair hand knotted out of the lace to achieve extremely natural and undetectable results.
How long will they stay on for?
Generally, you can keep the hair system on for up to four weeks at which point you will need to come into the salon for maintenance (this can also be done at home). Remember, everyone is different so a person with oily skin may require it changed earlier and someone with dry skin can go over the 4 week average. Also, lifestyles vary greatly so a person who swims alot will require the system changed more often than someone who has a less demanding one.
I live outside of London or the UK, will this effect my having hair replacement?
Not really as all you need is 1 day for consultation and design (2 days at most). Also, in the case of WHITE CLIFFS , we have an agreement with a nearby hotel (4 star) in London's Hyde Park- whereby a single standard room is discounted by up to 50% including VAT. If you do purchase a system, your room cost is deducted from the cost of your purchase.
How do you look after and maintain them?
The hair system will need to be taken off your head, cleaned where the adhesive is re-applied and then the whole hair system re-attached to your scalp. This keeps your head and hair system fresh and looking like a real head of hair.
How much do they cost?
WHITE CLIFFS hair system prices range from £1400 for a partial system to £1600 for a full cap/for some one totally without hair.
Is it necessary to shave my head in order to wear a hair system?
Hair systems are put on in two ways: by shaving an area or by attaching it to existing hair (though braiding and sewing in; or in the case of our Volumizer product via clips). It is usually best if the hair system sits on a shaved surface in order for the base materials to disappear on your skin and also for a perfect fit and comfort. The area that the hair system is designed for usually already has thin density due to hair loss so shaving in that area is not a big loss and besides no one will see that area without hair since you will be wearing your system.
I want to have some transplants. Will wearing a hair system hurt my transplants?
Many clients use a hair system while their transplanting is being performed. If the density of the transplants in the front is thick enough, a system can be placed behind them.
How often am I going to need to have my hair color refreshed?
The frequency of hair color refreshing depends on the color of the hair. Black will rarely fade. A light ash blonde color might need refreshing two to three times a year.
What about hair breakage? How often will those hairs need to be added back to the system?
Real hair breaks easily- even with your own natural living hair. Some clients purchase a system and will only need an hour of hair addition a year. Some clients are rough on their systems and will need an hour of hair addition every other month. The longer the hair is in length the more readily it will break. Learning the correct techniques and using the proper brush will reduce hair loss on your system.
Are attachment methods expensive? Is this an extra charge?
You can have any hair replacement salon attach your system monthly or you can perform this service yourself. About half of our clients prefer to attach their own systems. These services are an extra charge and performed as needed.
Do you have much experience with female clients?
We have a large clientele of women. We make a variety of custom systems for you from full sized systems for clients losing their hair, to those wanting to create hair they never could have had naturally, and for people who want to increase the density of their hair.
Which types of systems are more versatile, systems that go on a shaved head or hair integration systems?
The type of base used determines the versatility of a system. A mesh type system on a shaved area is omni-directional and very versatile. Integration systems are less versatile because hairs are tied on to a grid and most require that you decide on a definite part area.
How long after you design my system will I need to wait before I can have my system or systems?
Both systems will be completed in approximately 4-6 weeks from the design date.
Do you use human or synthetic hair?
WHITE CLIFFS designs systems with human hair that exactly match your hair texture. We feel Human is more realistic, breathes, acts naturall, has natural shine and sheen, and offers quality that cheaper synthetic hair simply cannot.
Do I really need two hair systems?
It's our opinion that customers should have two systems. This insures that you will always have one to wear while the other might need to be repaired, have a hair addition, color treatment or new front. But one can still have single systems for those who prefer to have their system serviced in the salon.
What is the life span of your hair systems?
Our systems will last 2-3 years if A PAIR are purchased (that can be rotated) and depending on the client's styling and maintenance techniques. That's about twice as long as other systems.
How long does my my system stay on my head?
Every person is different, depending on skin oil level, the amount of sweat produced, lifestyle, etc. the usual time is between 3 and 4 weeks.
How does the unit last 2-3 years if it is human hair? Won't the hair deteriorate/fade/develop split ends?
Unlike man made hair, the Human Hair we use is a very durable medium. Color corrections will need to be done occasionally (every 6 months or so) and hair addition and a new front required, but it's a very easy process. Also, if you look after your hair with detanglers, conditioners, high quality shampoos, etc. your hair will be fine.
How are you able to replace the hair in my receding temple area?
We can replace the hair in your temple areas because our materials disappear on your skin so we can replace hair anywhere.
Is there any other way to wear a system without shaving?
In most cases it is necessary to shave the areas that need more hair, but in some cases we make what are called Hair Integration Systems which saves every hair on your head. However, if you want total undetectability, I suggest you shave. Remember no one is ever going to see you without your system because you live in it.
Will your systems look like my own hair?
The most important thing to remember is that we make hair systems that look like your own hair and it looks like it is growing right out of your skin! Our technology make it possible to make the famed "Mayfair front"- a scalp line whereby the hair literally looks like it is growing out of your skin. WHITE CLIFFS IS the only firm in the world capable of doing this.

I live not so much of an active lifestyle, but I do own a convertible. Would that be a problem with one of your hair systems?
Not at all! Let your hair blow in the wind. Live in it! Short of falling off of the London Eye, your system can withstand alot of normal wear and tear including wind, rain, swimming, soccer, etc.
Do you have clients who will let me see them wearing their hair system?
Yes. We have clients who you can look at and also we have examples for you to actually wear.
If I live far from your locations, is it necessary for me to travel to your salon in order to have a system designed?
It is normally necessary for you to make two trips to our London salons. One for the design and one for the "cut-in" after your system has arrived (4-6 weeks later).
how do ladies apply make-up without clogging up the front lace?
The best way to apply foundation, powder or bronzer is to protect the front lace area by putting a shower cap (the type you find in hotel bathrooms!) over your head, bringing it forward over the hairline to protect the lace and then apply your make-up as normal. This will prevent the lace getting dirty.
Can you suggest a good website to see video and pictures of what can be done?
A very good web page (untouched) with pictures and video is http://www.whitecliffsgroup.com/Non_Surgical_Hair_Loss.htm then click on Men and/or Women to go to full video, pdf, and pictoral cases/examples.
How does your system attach to your head?
Mine attaches with surgical glue to the front and sides. Some people use a mixture of glue and two-sided tape (super strong). These last about 2 weeks to a month depending on how oily or dry your skin is and your activity level (the more sweat and oil the faster the adhesives will break down). About every 5 days or so I add some adhesive at the very front with a Q-Tip (takes 5 minutes) as this is the most likely place for the glue to break down. And that's it. MY HAIR IS SIMPLY WONDERFUL, and allows me to do everything my real hair could, as the glues are very strong and undetectable. Also, some very good news is that WHITE CLIFFS are always having developed new glues and adhesives that constantly "push" the boundaries including the new WHITE CLIFFS tape that lasts up to an incredible 41 days without breakdown.

Be honest- "Systems" are just a fancy name for wigs!
I assume the writer of this has a full head of hair, or has simply given up on ever re-gaining theirs. Nothing can replace your real, living hair at this point. BUT, technology and the dedication of many people has made it possible for hair loss sufferers to come close. Speaking for our firm, WHITE CLIFFS, we have spent MANY YEARS creating systems (including the famed Mayfair Front) that come as close as humanly possible to replicate a person's real hair. No, they do not grow like living hair, and they can come off if you dive off the Golden Gate Bridge or the London Eye. But, in everyday living including riding your motorbike or going for a run or going to a concert or dinner or roller skating through Hyde park or simply LIVING and Enjoying your life- they are wonderful. They breathe, sweat, can be styled like your real hair, you can run your fingers (or your partner's) through them, and THEY ARE TOTALLY UNDETECTABLE; and the number one comment we get from hair loss sufferers is: "I got my life back". It all depends if you see the glass as half empty or full!
Steve
Why do your systems at White Cliffs take so long to make?
Our systems take approximately 4-7 weeks from the time of design. Why? Because being the world's best at what we do requires the absolute highest standards in our craftsmanship. Our systems are all made by hand in the West, are made from the finest materials on the planet, use real human hair (only from the west), we match your hair sample taken during design perfectly before constructing your system, ensure hair density matches your real hair perfectly, and that hair length is exact- among many other things. Our systems don't bleed hair after purchase, or tear, or rip, and last longer than any other on the market (2-3 Plus years for a pair). All of our systems also comprise the famed "Mayfair Front", our undetectable and patented front which looks like the hair is literally growing out of your head. Our goal is to always be the undisputed, best in the world at what we do: making each customer look their absolute best hair-wise. This takes time.
Andrew
Are systems Hot to wear? especially in the summer?
Not at all as they breathe very much like your own skin.
Steve
I have Afro style hair (short and curly). Can you give me long and straight hair?
Science and technology allow incredible things to be done with systems and hair replacement in general. It is an everday thing (for WHITE CLIFFS to create very long, "Beyonce" style hair for someone who naturally has short and curly hair. There are many different design options available to give Afro clients that gorgeous Beyonce style hair they dream of. Our designs all allow for our trademark "Mayfair Front" that looks like the hair is growing out of the skin. Below are some examples of the world-leading work that WHITE CLIFFS does.

Do hairpieces really stay on? And how?
At WHITE CLIFFS we create systems which are completely different to 'hair pieces'- our systems breathe, and stay on for up to one month so you can swim, run, shower, and sleep in them... or ride your motorbike! Hair pieces are a thing of the 1970's resembling a cat resting on your head- our systems are completely undetectable, have a hairline that looks like it is growing out of your skin (our famed Mayfair Front), and are as close as 2006 technology can get to your real hair! Really! To see a real life test ( against powerful wind machine and rain) carried out by London's ITV Morning Show on our homepage www.whitecliffsgroup.com. You will be amazed.
Systems are adhered in several ways: the most common being surgical glue at the front and tape or glue on the perimeter. Our surgical glue is government approved, hypoallergenic (allergy-free), waterproof, breathes and will last between 2 weeks and one month depending on how oily your skin is. The glue slowly breaks down from your skin's oils and sweat, so the more oily skin you have and the more you sweat will cause it to break down faster. Hence, an aerobics instructor who works out all day will maybe need it replaced every 2 weeks, whilst a person who runs every other day with dry skin may only need to come in once a month.
How long can I keep a system on?
It depends upon your lifestyle and skin type. On average about 3-4 weeks, but if you have very oily skin, then maybe only 2 weeks, or if you run and exercise many times a week and sweat alot 2-3 weeks. Itd epends on the person. We have aerobics teachers who have their systems on for 1 month before coming in for a re-groom.
-Andy
In the hot weather does a system sweat?
WHITE CLIFFS Mayfair Hair systems are very much designed like you skin- with pores- which allow them to breathe naturally. Hence, your system will breathe and sweat in a similar way to your natural hair and skin when you run, play sports, or just go for a walk- even in very hot weather- and will allow sweat and heat generated by the body to escape.
It is often suggested that I have 2 systems- why?
First, the suggestion to invest in 2 systems is not in order to sell you more or make more money out of you.
On the contrary, having 2 systems that can be "rotated" will save you money in the long run. Like your real hair, hair systems go under alot of wear and tear- especially while sleeping or if many hours in powerful sun and UV rays. Also, natural day to day usage causes hair to break, hairs to be lost, and over time color to fade a little. Hence, while hair additions and recoloring are being done, you can use one system freeing up the other to routine maintenance. Also, by rotating systems (switching to a different one every other month) you simply reduce wear and tear on them.
